Proteins are very important and necessary nutritional supplement which helps human body to grow big and stronger.
Proteins must be included in everyone diet as a normal food. These proteins are available in natural sources like egg,
soybeans, and oatmeal. When people intake these foods at regular interval with good diet then they are supplied with sufficient amount of proteins. This makes them healthier and stronger. The reason for telling proteins make them stronger is that these proteins help in body building. Hence most of the body builder’s intake is large amount of protein rich foods to build their body and physique.
There is a famous saying which everyone knows is “Too much of anything is not good for health”. This saying goes well with these proteins too. Because most of the people to develop their body stronger and physique good looking takes proteins shakes in large amount which leads to many side effects and here we are going to see about those side effects.
First is the development of kidney stones. This most of the people won’t consider as side effect as it could be dismissed through injections or through other simple medications. But the case is worse when it comes to surgery. If you have a stone and it needs to be cleared only through surgery then you will suffer a great pain. Not only pain but also you have to face other difficulties. Excess intake of protein may lead to kidney or liver damage or even failure.
Hence it is better to avoid this kind of situation by reducing the intake of protein shakes.

If you reduce the amount you intake or takes the same protein at regular interval rather than taking in a continuous manner then there is nothing to bother. You will be safe and the protein helps to build your body muscle.
Proteins also cause allergy to people not for everyone but for people who are already suffering from lactose intolerance. Such lactose intolerance may cause stomach cramps, stomach upset, and even stomach bloating. If you are the one suffering from the same then take protein’s which contain less lactose. There are proteins available in market with less lactose so make sure to add that in your diet if you have lactose related problems.
Excess intake of protein also leads to dehydration. So to be free from dehydration you have to drink more water that is 8 to 10 glasses of water in a day. This will hydrate your body and keeps at normal state. Other than this it also increases the nitrogen content of your body. Increase in nitrogen content will affect your kidney functions hence have it in less amount.


The next possible side effect, one could face if they take excess of protein shake, is related to blood. If you intake excess of protein then it will increase the pH of your blood to its maximum range of 7.0 and this is the acidity level. If your blood turns acidic then to neutralize, it needs to be mixed up with basic elements. The basic elements which make it neutral are many and the only thing of that kind available in your body is calcium. Hence to make it neutral human bones calcium is used and as a result one have to face many bone related dangerous diseases. Osteoporosis is one of the very serious bone disease which may affect your body if you intake excess of protein shakes.


The last stage you would finally reach if you intake large amount of protein shake is “ketosis”. It is not a disease but a state where your body will contain only protein without any carbohydrate or other nutrient. This will burn your body fat to energy but it is not good as it does not contain any carbohydrate. If you remain in the state of “ketosis” for long time then it affects your kidney. Ketosis is also described as a state of chronic starvation as it burns all the fats and remains in a crisis state without carbohydrate. Hence it is described as one of the most dangerous state which no one should come across in their life. It also damages liver because of heavy stress human body faces while burning fat without carbohydrate.
If you are the one taking excess amount of protein shakes then make it sure to take protein shakes with a well planned diet. Also it is advised to take this kind of protein shakes only before heavy workouts in gym. Because only by that time your body will convert fat into energy and burns all your fat. If someone likes to have protein shakes in their daily diet then it is better for them to find time daily to work out in gym or do some exercise in home to burn the fat produced by protein shakes.
